Stream – Euphoria Rush
August 14th, 2024 – Leading speed house producer CHYL teams up with rising melodic bass artist Skybreak for their high-energy debut collaboration, “Euphoria Rush,” released on Monstercat Uncaged.
Transitioning from a Wall Street career to the dynamic world of speed house, CHYL has shattered societal expectations, emerging as the genre’s top female producer. She has paved the way for women in EDM, gaining recognition from industry heavyweights like Steve Aoki, Marshmello, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Having performed at legendary festivals such as Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, and HARD Summer, CHYL has captivated audiences with her intense, adrenaline-fueled sound. Known for taking her shows to unconventional venues like auto repair shops and K1 speed arenas, she transforms every performance into a high-octane spectacle, blending her passion for speed with her musical prowess.
Skybreak, celebrated for his ability to combine intricate melodies with emotional and jazzy bass, has garnered support from major artists including Illenium, Alison Wonderland, and SLANDER. His impressive performances at festivals like EDC Las Vegas and Rampage Open Air have solidified his reputation. With three tracks in Monstercat’s ‘Best of 2023’ top ten compilation, Skybreak is rapidly ascending in the melodic bass scene.
“Euphoria Rush” sees CHYL and Skybreak blending their signature sounds—speed house and melodic colour bass—while experimenting with an unexpected techno drop. The track is an exhilarating anthem, full of catchy melodies and unpredictable drops.
CHYL explains, “Skybreak and I wanted to merge melodic bass and speed house since they share the same BPM. We tried different variations of the drops and loved them all, so we included three different drops: speed house, melodic bass, and techno. The variety and strong vocal hook keep the track dynamic, and I hope it becomes a Monstercat favorite!”
Skybreak adds, “I’m known for creating unexpected collaborations, and when I learned that CHYL was debuting in NYC earlier this year, the idea of a Speed House x Colour Bass crossover excited both of us. We quickly finished the track in time for the show, and the result is exactly what the title suggests—euphoric and FAST-PACED!”
CHYL is currently on a major tour, set to perform at Breakaway Mass in September, a sold-out show at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco, and at 45 East opening for Habstrakt. Meanwhile, Skybreak is preparing for a performance at Lost Lands this fall, along with a back-to-back set with Ace Aura at the Hollywood Palladium in December, with more shows to come.
CHYL, based in Los Angeles, is an electronic dance music producer and DJ whose love for speed has influenced dance floors, fashion, and car culture worldwide. Trading a finance degree from Columbia University for the world of dance music, CHYL left behind a promising investment banking career to pursue her true passion. Her rapid rise in the Speed House genre has made her a trailblazer, with her high-energy tracks defined by rapid tempos, intricate sound design, and bass-heavy beats.
2023 marked a breakout year for CHYL, with international acclaim for her viral remix of Kanye West’s “Mercy” and a debut mainstage performance at Countdown Festival, followed by HARD Summer and EDC. Her tracks have dominated major labels, earning her a devoted fanbase. In 2024, her debut solo headline show in Los Angeles sold out in just 7 minutes, followed by consecutive sold-out shows in five cities.
With her distinctive sound and relentless drive, CHYL is a force to be reckoned with, inspiring others to follow their dreams. Her journey from finance to dance music exemplifies the power of passion, and as she continues to forge her own path, it’s clear she’s only getting faster.
