Netflix has announced the upcoming release of Avicii – I’m Tim, a documentary that provides an intimate look into the life and legacy of Tim Bergling, known globally as Avicii. Featuring never-before-seen footage and narrated by Bergling himself, the documentary offers fans a deeply personal view of his journey, from his early success with “Bromance” to his untimely passing in 2018. Initially premiering at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, the film presents Bergling’s experiences with fame, his relationships with friends and family, and his struggle to find peace amidst a whirlwind career.
In addition to the documentary, Netflix will also feature Avicii: My Last Show, capturing Avicii’s final performance at Ushuaïa in Ibiza on August 28, 2016. This set, recorded nearly two years before he stepped away from touring to focus on his mental health, is now considered a defining moment in EDM and a powerful reminder of the industry’s mental health challenges.
Both Avicii – I’m Tim and Avicii: My Last Show will be available to stream worldwide on Netflix starting December 31, 2024.
