Two powerhouses of the dance music world, drum ‘n’ bass legend Andy C and two-time BRIT Award winner Becky Hill, have teamed up for a new collaboration titled “Indestructible,” released via Astralwerks. Listen to it HERE. The duo has been teasing this track throughout the summer, with fans eagerly anticipating its release ever since Andy C first played an early version nearly a decade ago.
On “Indestructible,” Becky Hill sets the tone with her unmistakable and powerful vocals, delivering lyrics brimming with positivity and motivation. As the track progresses, Andy C brings the energy with thumping basslines, dynamic breaks, and blazing synths, creating an anthem of maximalist euphoria.
While “Indestructible” marks their first musical release together, Andy C and Becky Hill have collaborated before. Andy C appeared as a guest on the first season of Becky’s critically acclaimed podcast, The Art of Rave, where they had an in-depth conversation about his early music inspirations and key moments in his career.
Andy C expressed his excitement about the collaboration, saying, “It’s an honor to finally work on a track with Becky. Her incredible voice and lyrics capture the unity in our scene… ‘How did we end up here, look how far we’ve come’—it perfectly encapsulates my journey with DnB, the genre’s current popularity, and Becky’s meteoric career. This track has been a highlight in my sets for the past year, and I’m thrilled that it’s finally out for the world to hear!”
Becky Hill added, “Andy C has always been a hero of mine! Having him as a guest on my podcast, The Art of Rave, was a dream, and now collaborating with one of drum & bass’s greats is a massive milestone for me. I wrote this record when I was 21, and Andy sent it back to me 9 years later! I’m so excited for everyone to hear it, especially with the one & only Executioner involved!”
Andy C has been a pioneering force in drum ‘n’ bass since the early ’90s. His RAM Records label has been instrumental in the success of acts like Chase & Status, Sub Focus, and Wilkinson. Andy’s work with Ant Miles as Origin Unknown produced timeless tracks like “Valley of the Shadows.” His career as a DJ has taken him worldwide, where he consistently dominates top DJ lists, drops hit originals like “Heartbeat Loud,” “Back & Forth,” “Boom,” and “Ghost,” and remixes for artists ranging from The Prodigy to Major Lazer. He has also sold out iconic UK venues such as Brixton Academy, Wembley Arena, Alexandra Palace, and The O2 Arena. Later this year, Andy will headline Alive 3.0 at London’s Drumsheds on November 8th—tickets available here. A full list of Andy C’s live shows can be found here.
“Indestructible” adds another milestone to what has been an extraordinary year for Becky Hill. Her second album, Believe Me Now?, has become her most personal and critically acclaimed work, achieving her highest chart debut at #3 in the UK. The album includes hits like the Platinum-certified “Disconnect” with Chase & Status and the US #1 dance airplay track “Never Alone” with Sonny Fodera.
2024 has seen Becky Hill on an extensive tour, with highlights including performances at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, a headline set at Parklife, and her debut European headline tour. In October, she will play her biggest UK arena shows to date, including a sold-out performance at the OVO Arena Wembley. Becky’s North American headline tour kicks off in November, with limited tickets available for select shows.
