Cancelled performances, including a b2b with Martin Garrix, were slated for Australia and Saudi Arabia.
In an emotional announcement, Swedish EDM sensation Alesso has revealed that he is canceling several upcoming shows due to health concerns and overexertion.
Sharing the news via Instagram Stories, Alesso wrote: “I regret to announce that I must cancel my upcoming shows in Australia and Saudi Arabia due to a recent health issue combined with overexertion. My doctor has advised me to take some time to rest and recover to ensure I can continue creating and performing at my best for all of you.”
This marks the first time in his 14-year touring career that Alesso has had to cancel performances of this scale.
Among the canceled events were Kygo’s Palm Tree Festival in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, as well as MDLBEAST’s Soundstorm Festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fans at Soundstorm were especially looking forward to a back-to-back set with fellow EDM icon Martin Garrix.
If his recovery progresses as planned, Alesso is expected to return to the stage in late December for India’s Sunburn Festival and Decadence NYE in Southern California.
