During the weekend when EDC Las Vegas was going on we got the luxury to go and see Boris Brejcha at the Brooklyn Mirage and cover it. The Brooklyn Mirage was a spectacle of magnificence and an incredible venue. Not only was the sound great, but the lights and visuals were on another level. I can say with confidence I am going back for more shows!
We arrived at The Brooklyn Mirage (TBM) and got the pleasure of first hearing Local Dialect. They were playing some great tunes which were a fusion of deep house and melodic. Really enjoyed the set from Local Dialect. The duo knew how to make it energetic throughout the whole set and add great breaks in between.
After Local Dialect was done playing, we had to re-up on refreshments. While getting back we saw that Moritz Hofbauer had taken the stage. Once on the stage, he started to play some great techno music. Felt like some nice deep vibe while also mixing in a little bit of harder touch. All around, the set was really epic, and would definitely watch him again.
When Moritz Hofbauer was done playing Ann Clue took the stage and started to play her classic tunes “Roadtrip”, “Acid Attack”, and “Trip”. While playing the day became night and you could finally start to see more of the lights and visuals. During the set, it also rained for about 20 minutes. Even though it rained, I loved every second of Ann Clue’s set with her driving techno.
Now when Ann Clue was done playing Boris Brejcha stepped on the stage and started playing. Wow, we can easily say that we were blown away by Boris’s set at the Brooklyn Mirage. As you would think he played many classics like “Gravity” which he is well known for and “Purple Noise”. While playing classics there were also some new tunes I have never heard before. This got me to think that he might release some new music soon.
During Boris set, the visuals were also out of this world. The movement was really cool in a flowing way while it was changing into these really vibrant colors. I can’t recommend it more to go and see Boris Brejcha play live. His mixing is incredible and how he brings in all these other elements to his set. By doing so, the tracks he plays shine even more and give an incredible feeling. I am definitely seeing him very soon again!
That really sums up the night. The event started at 4 PM and I got out at 12:00 am. You can say that my feet and back were pretty tired and soar. It was not the best to max out on lower back exercises the day before this event… Oh well, it was totally worth it to go to this event early. We will see you soon again Brooklyn Mirage, until then, Cheers!
